About: Poole-Cherbourg Twinning Association

Poole is twinned with Cherbourg, Normandy, France.

In 2022 we celebrated 45 years of 'jumelage' with the people of Cherbourg. Our Twinning Charter dated 1977 was displayed the Civic Centre and stored now for safe keeping.

The association exists to link with one another and to initiate, linguistic, tourist, economic and social exchanges for the mutual benefit of all the people of the towns.

We aim to have reciprocal visits each year and to organise events to raise funds for the association and raise awareness of our twinning links.

The Twinning Charter dated 1977 is displayed in the Civic Centre.
